Rainbow Octopus
Project info
Rainbow Octopus
The book tells the story of a rainbow octopus that loses its colors during winter. This symbolizes how people can feel down during the cold and dark winter months. In the story, the octopus goes on a journey to find five moments that make it feel happy. Along the way, it also encounters a dark, challenging time, showing that things don’t always go smoothly and that setbacks are part of life. For each moment that brings the octopus happiness, there are illustrations of dreamlike worlds where the octopus can escape and find joy. The book has fold-out pages, and when you reach the final page, you can see through transparent sheets to the gray octopus from the beginning, but now with all its colors restored. The story shows that in the end, the octopus finds its happiness and its colors again. Give me my colors back is a deeply moving exploration of the impact of seasonal depression and the healing power of creativity. It highlights the importance of community support, self-expression, and finding beauty in unexpected places. This story serves as a reminder that even in the bleakest of winters, there is a potential for light and color, waiting to be rediscovered within ourselves.
