In this group project, we were tasked with creating something for the website ‘Ninja Tunes’ that children could use. We developed an app that allows them to focus on their activities while listening to music from the website. This app is designed for children who want to work on school tasks or personal projects, helping them concentrate better.
In the app, children can choose from different activities they want to do. After selecting an activity, they can set a timer for how long they want to work on the task. Once the timer is set, they can click ‘start,’ and the screen will be locked to prevent distractions from the device. While the timer runs, they listen to Ninja Tunes music, allowing them to fully concentrate on their work.
When the timer ends, the child receives a reward in the app. They can choose from three different themes and receive an online coloring page that they can color however they like. These rewards are stored in a collection folder within the app, so the child can see their own achievements.
For the app’s design, we chose a colorful look with overlapping shades. For each activity, we selected two colors that match the specific activity. For example, for the theme of ‘relaxation,’ we chose two color theories that fit well. The app is easy to navigate, ensuring that it does not become a distraction for the children.
